Founded in 1920, Rushton Industries first established itself as a leader in the heavy construction industry, specializing in the power, chemical, steel, beverage, auto and manufacturing businesses. Concurrently, Rushton Crane Company – a subsidiary, gained recognition throughout the Eastern and Southern United States for its fleet of heavy construction equipment. Rushton completed high-profile jobs for various national and international companies such as Dupont, Ford, General Motors, Tata, Disney, Firestone, Frito Lay, PPG, Budweiser, Reynolds Aluminum, among others.

In the 1970s, Rushton expanded into the real estate industry through the acquisition of various investment properties. Over the next decade, it evolved into the full-service real estate company that it is today, focusing on acquisitions, development, and management. Since the mid-1980s, Rushton has become a leader in the industry, amassing a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial, and retail projects spanning across the United States. Some of their tenants include the New York Times, Pepperidge Farms, American Express, Tastykake, State Farm Insurance, Karcher, Sybron and TCI.

Rushton develops, owns, and manages a portfolio of commercial, retail, and industrial properties. Their investments include office and office/flex/medical space located primarily in Northern New Jersey. Rushton’s extensive experience in the office condo market has included two of the largest developments in the state.

Additionally, their holdings include a number of industrial and warehousing facilities.

Rushton has completed numerous major retail projects throughout New Jersey as well as urban mixed-use buildings. Tenants have ranged from local companies to national retail chains including Lowe’s Home Improvement, Pep Boys, Micro Center, and more.

As of 2018, Rushton has expanded into the Texas market and is currently involved in land development and retail projects, working with international franchises and alongside some of the nation’s largest home builders, in one of the largest growing U.S. markets.

For over 30 years, Rushton has been developing residential real estate in some of New Jersey and California’s most prestigious neighborhoods.

Rushton has designed and built a wide array of projects which include a 181-unit condominium development minutes from New York City, luxury home communities throughout Northern New Jersey, multi-million dollar ultra-luxury homes in Newport Beach, California, and tract housing in Palm Springs, among others.
